New Encoding Formats Supported for SMTP![]() Thursday, January 26, 2012 Elastic Email has always encoded the emails in base64 as after much testing we found this to be the most reliable encoding. We have recently added the support for other encoding types when using SMTP. The REST API still only supports Base64 at this time. Here are the supported encodings: None Raw7Bit Raw8Bit Quoted Printable Base64 Uue User Provided (whatever encoding you send us, we will preserve). Note that this is a global account setting that will affect all email sent through SMTP on your account. At this time, you need to have an Elastic Email Support Representative set it for you if you would like to try something other then Base64. Please launch a discussion at http://support.elasticemail.com and make sure you indicate which account you would like and which encoding type. Cheers |
