Documentation

Two API options are available.  If you just want to set your SMTP server configuration to use Elastic Email as a relay use the SMTP API.  If you are a developer building an application we recommend you use the REST API which is more flexible and more efficient than standard SMTP.

Standard SMTP Interface

You may also use standard SMTP to deliver mail:
  • SMTP Configuration - Send an email to a single recipient or group of recipients.  SMTP Server configuration.

REST API

The following REST API commands are available:

  • Send (mailer/send)  - Send an email to a single recipient or group of recipients
  • Upload Attachment - Upload an attachment to be sent with your email
  • Get Transaction Status (mailer/status) - Get the status of a single send transaction including delivery statistics for recipients
  • Activity Log - Get detailed reports for given times, results and channels.
  • Account Details - Determine how much credit you have left in your Elastic Email account
  • Bounce/Unsubscribe List - Get the bounced email addresses you should remove from your list.
  • Mail Merge - Send hundreds or thousands of personalized emails with two api calls.
