Frequently Asked Questions
I would like to try Elastic Email. How do I get started?
All you need to do is open a free account. You can do so by clicking the “Try for Free” button in the upper right corner on our website. Once you do that, you’ll be notified that a verification email has been sent to the email address that you signed up with. Make sure to verify and then sign into your new account and start sending! You can learn more about uploading your contacts and sending your first campaign here.
Do I need a credit card to register?
No, you don’t. Although if you want to send more than 100 emails per day, you need to add a payment option.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes, we do! You can sign up completely free and send up to 100 emails per day. Once you want to send more, you need to choose the plan.
What if I go over the limits of my plan?
At any time if you reach the contact limit, you can either have our system automatically upgrade your plan so you do not have to worry about email interruption, or you can be informed about this and you will have the option to upgrade your plan manually.
How can I upgrade or downgrade?
At any moment, you can log into your account and upgrade your plan in seconds. Go to Account>Billing and pick the plan that suits you best. If you need to downgrade your plan, please contact us, and we will help you take care of this nice and quick.
Can I switch from Email Marketing to Email API?
Yes, you can, but it is recommended to wait to make this change until the day before your plan renews so you don't lose any of your current plan's service, features or add-ons. To make this switch please contact us a few days before your plan renews and we would be happy to help with this change. If you need to make the switch prior to this date, your Email Marketing plan will expire and any add-on purchases will not be applied towards your Email API plan. You will need to purchase an Auto-Recharge credit plan that is suitable for your sending. As soon as the Auto-Recharge plan is purchased, you will no longer have unlimited emails and you will be charged per email. Any add-ons purchased will automatically be converted to the Email API pricing and consume your credit on a daily basis. Prior to contacting us about a change, make sure you have a registered payment method configured with Elastic Email as we are unable to make the change for you without it. Also please consider that there are several features included with the Email Marketing product that is not included in the Email API product. Email API plans are specifically for customers wanting to send via SMTP or HTTP API only.

What payment types are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal. All prices are in USD
Which contacts are counted into my pricing plan?
If you pick the Unlimited or Unlimited PRO pricing plan, you will be able to send an unlimited number of emails and be charged only for the number of contacts managed on your account. Each contact has a status attached to it. And the statuses that count into your pricing plan are Active, Engaged and Transactional. All other statuses are not counted. If you have sent any email during the current subscription period to this contact and then delete the contact, it will still be counted until the next subscription period (usually up to one month).
Are there any set up fees?
No. We have put a lot of effort into making the set up as easy as possible. You can learn more by checking out our handy tutorials and if you have some more questions, feel free to let us know.
What about support?
You will receive 14 days of free In-App Messenger support when you create your account to answer all your questions while you configure the account and get started. You can continue to receive this level of chat support by purchasing an Unlimited Pro plan. If you do not purchase an Unlimited Pro plan, we offer 24/7 free email support where we typically respond to your queries within a day. If you are wanting the ultimate support experience you can opt for our Premium Support option which will give you not only our are awesome In-App Messenger but also instant chat engagement from our global 24/7 team.
Do you offer onboarding help or delivery consulting?
Whether you are just getting started or you have sent many email campaigns, you can contact our Customer Success Team. Our team is available 24/7 and ready to help you with your questions or concerns. If you’re looking for a more personalized support experience the Premium Support add-on is available where you will be assigned an Account Manager with In-App Messenger access. We also provide the video tutorials that will help you with account set up or with sending and optimizing your campaigns.
