IT Security Specialist
Szczecin, Poland (hybrid model)
We are looking to expand our team with the position of IT Security Specialist that will support Elastic Email in terms of data protection, system data security and law compliance of all processes and procedures.
Elastic Email is an all-in-one email delivery platform. We offer an SMTP Relay, robust HTTP API and a User Interface that has a complete suite of tools and features for managing contacts, templates, campaigns and reports. We specialize in delivering transactional and marketing email.
From the beginning, the company has been focused on developing its own technologies and solutions that have allowed us to build a fully scalable product.
We currently support over 12,000 new registrations to the application per month. Thousands of companies from the United States, Great Britain, India, Brazil, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, Poland and many other European countries use our solution.
In this role, you’ll get to:
Analyse threats, find and define weak points of the system,
Develop systems, solutions and procedures to be as resistant to threats as possible; taking direct action in the case of a threat,
Collaborate on IT security infrastructure projects,
Create and review the internal regulations regarding managed systems,
Co-create the Security policies,
Review and adjust existing solutions developed for the purposes of national regulations or EU regulations/directives,
Perform regular audits of existing processes and procedures and create new regulations that should help prevent the system from any threats,
Provide opinions on company contracts,
Prepare materials and training related to IT security for the Elastic Email employees,
Develop communication strategies in case of system failure, hacked attacks, or other irregularities related to system security.
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous work experience in this or in a similar position,
Has excellent command of the English language (written and spoken),
Is self-starter and result-driven person, carrying out tasks in accordance with accepted processes and within accepted deadlines,
Is an active team player, specially with engineers and IT System Administrators,
Is interested in IT security and constantly expanding knowledge in this area,
Has basic knowledge of database systems (e.g. MySQL),
Has great knowledge about the Polish law as well as a knowledge of EU regulations and directives necessary to maintain information/data security,
Can analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions that will be used to develop processes and procedures,
Has great communication skills and is able to present ideas in a clear and proper way as well as is open for the feedback of others.
Who exceeds in this role?
Knowledge of SaaS business model and products,
Knowledge/experience in areas such as SMTP Protocol, DNS Configuration and HTML,
Knowledge/experience in working with Windows / Linux systems (at the administrative level),
Malicious software analysis skills,
Knowledge/experience in designing IT systems,
Knowledge/experience in conducting penetration testing in the web applications,
Certificates confirming knowledge and skills (eg. Cisco certificates).
