See the following tips to assist with reaching new customers!

The usual, older, more traditional types of marketing that can help you reach new customers can be expensive (printed flyers, billboards, television ads or radio time, etc). Elastic Email boasts the cheapest rates on the market. Why wouldn’t you utilize Elastic Email’s easy to use marketing options as your go-to for your marketing needs?

Elastic Email offers a robust reporting platform where you can measure your marketing efforts as well.

Create a survey

Create a survey directly from your Elastic Email account so that you can gain feedback from your contacts. You will potentially learn directly from them what you’re doing right and what they want to see more of. If you have learned that you were successful in reaching new customers in one particular area, you may want to utilize that marketing tactic in the future again.

Some example questions:

What products or services are you interested in?
How did you hear about us?
How can we serve you better?

Ask for reviews

Having high-quality reviews on your website has been proven to help increase sales and exposure. It’s worth putting some time and effort into making this happen.

Do you have a visible presence already on review sites? Some examples are Angie’s List, Consumer Affairs, Expresit, Google Reviews, Yelp and more.

Utilize blogging

Point your customers toward answers to frequently asked questions. Provide your customers with useful, engaging, valuable information that is pertinent to what you are marketing. Writing blogs will add to your resources documentation. Blogs are a great way to showcase to your customers more about your business and the products that you offer.

Perhaps a staff member has an interest in blogging or one of your loyal customers.

You are currently reading one of our blogs - must work eh! (Yes I’m Canadian). You can find our entire growing list of blogs here.

Entice potential customers to join your list

Offer a discount or a promotion to bring in new customers. Incorporate your offer into your double opt-in web form which can be created directly from your Elastic Email account. Check out an idea like this.

Where possible, include as many contact field types as possible on your web form. Some suggestions are gender, geographic location, date of birth, etc. The more you know about your subscriber the better you can market to them. With Elastic Email, you can add as many custom contact fields as you would like to track to your web form.

Incorporate social media

Adding social media icons to your email templates offers another platform on which to engage with your target audience. Elastic Email has a built-in drag and drop widget just for this or choose from hundreds of pre-designed templates that have this ready for you. Social media gives your contact options for connecting with you and sharing your information.

  1. Add social media icons to your emails. You can do this directly from our email designer.
  2. Invite your Facebook followers to subscribe to your email list.
  3. Invite your current customers to like your Facebook page.
  4. Include a Twitter ‘Retweet This!’ tag in your emails.

Use multiple channels. There are many options - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.

Word of mouth

Ask for referrals. Word of mouth referrals can be some of the best advertising for your business. Don’t be afraid of asking your current, engaged customers to refer you to some potentially valuable new customers. Send a personalized request to your loyal, most engaged list.

Customize

Converting potential customers into engaged, active customers can be difficult. Optimize your customer conversion emails as much as you can.

Personalize your emails
Utilize our
contact merge fields to add customer’s name, etc.

Send emails from a personalized source
Send from the president of the company or the head of marketing. This carries more weight potentially than sending from a generic source.

Identify yourself
Add your current contact information including your
physical address to all emails that are sent. This allows customers to easily contact you with questions. This also lets them know that you are a legitimate business and helps keep you onside with the regulations like CAN-SPAM and CASL.

Segmentation
If you were successful in gaining multiple field types when your contacts signed up with your web form, you will be able to
segment your lists based on these contact field types. Put the most appropriate advertising in front of your targeted audiences.

Keep it Interesting! Change things up! Try new things! Your customers may be bored with your usual marketing and engagement tactics. Use some of the above suggestions to create unique experiences.

Once you have their attention and permission to send, be careful not to bombard your new customers. Don’t send too many offers too often. While great offers are often one of the most effective ways to convert potential customers into active or paying customers, you can overdo it. If you are sending offers to your subscribers too often, you may see an increase in the number of unsubscribes or complaints (marking as spam).
