The recent price increase introduced by Kit (formerly ConvertKit) is not good news for content creators. But the higher prices are not the only changes this Idaho-based company prepared for us. First and foremost, Kit decided to remove the 0-300 subscriber tier that used to cost between $9-$15/month. The pricing change also affects existing users, who are now required to pay $39/month (with a subscriber limit of 1,000). If you’re now experiencing the price increase and want to switch the tool, or you’re not a Kit user, but you’re looking for an email marketing platform, we would like to show you the 5 best Kit alternatives in 2025.

Kit’s price increase

According to the press release from September 8, 2025, Kit’s price increase took effect immediately for new customers. Current customers experience the price change as of October 15, 2025. As for the exact numbers, the Creator plan starts at $39/month for up to 1,000 subscribers, whereas the Creator Pro plan starts at $79/month for up to 1,000. In the past, you used to pay $29/month and $59/month, respectively, for the same number of subscribers. Kit decided to keep the Newsletter (free) plan offering up to 10,000 subscribers, 1 basic visual automation, 1 email sequence, and 1 user, which seems limited for active users.

Kit Alternatives

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the best Kit alternatives to consider if you’re looking for an email marketing platform for content creators.

1. Elastic Email's Creator Suite

Creator Suite, our proprietary product, is a solution tailored to the needs of content creators looking for a convenient and affordable email marketing platform.

  • Affordable pricing (starting at $19/month)
  • Zero transaction fees on sales on the Elastic Email side
  • AI-powered design and content tools
  • Unlimited automations
  • Integrated Link in Bio creator

When you choose Elastic Email, you pay only $19/month for the Creator Suite plan and can add up to 2,500 subscribers. That is 50% less than what you’d pay for Kit, with 2.5x more subscribers! Creator Suite also offers its free version, in which you can discover its amazing tools and grow your audience with the Link in Bio tool, subdomain setup, and subscription forms. And when you’re ready to start sending emails, you can upgrade to the paid plan.

If you want to monetize your content and sell digital products online or run paid newsletters, Creator Suite is there for you. And, there are zero transaction fees on your sales. Elastic Email doesn’t charge you anything for that. The only fees included are those on the Stripe end, which processes the payments. In contrast, Kit allows you to monetize your content, but there’s a 3.5% + 30c transaction fee.

Another huge advantage of Elastic Email is the AI Template Designer. It’s an AI-powered tool to help you generate compelling templates and edit specific blocks with AI prompts. You can test it out even on the free version of the Creator Suite product with 10 free prompts.

Creator Suite also offers you unlimited automations. You can create automated workflows to send personalized campaigns based on various triggers and nurture your audience automatically with perfectly timed emails.

You can also use Creator Suite to create your Link in Bio page with all your important links. You don’t need any external tools like Linktree to create a landing page with all the links you want to share. If you want to create a shop with links to all your digital products, that’s also available.

2. MailerLite

  • Generous free plan
  • Affordable pricing
  • User-friendly interface

MailerLite is also a great option if you’re looking for a Kit alternative. It offers a generous free plan with up to 500 subscribers and 12,000 monthly emails. MailerLite’s free plan includes a website and landing page builder, surveys, and marketing automations. You can also test out premium features for 14 days, and when you decide to upgrade your plan, the pricing is still affordable but more expensive than Elastic Email’s Creator Suite. MailerLite is also known for its clean and intuitive user interface, which makes it a good choice for beginners who want to get started with email marketing without a steep learning curve.

3. Brevo

  • All-in-one marketing platform
  • More advanced marketing automation
  • Pricing based more on emails sent, not contacts

Brevo is a great option if you’re looking for a tool that offers more than just email marketing, as it also offers SMS messaging, a live chat widget, and a robust CRM system. Brevo also offers more sophisticated and powerful automation workflows. It allows for the creation of complex, multi-step user journeys and the tracking of a wider range of customer actions. But, it requires a marketing approach and technical knowledge in comparison with Elastic Email. Another advantage of Brevo is that its pricing is more focused on email sending limits rather than the number of contacts. When you’re sending more than 20,000 emails/month, you can add an unlimited number of contacts to your account.

4. ActiveCampaign

  • Strong automation feature
  • Robust reporting
  • More integrations

ActiveCampaign is widely recognized for having a powerful and flexible marketing automation platform. Creators can build highly complex and dynamic automations based on a wide range of triggers. It also provides in-depth reporting that shows which emails drive sales. Another advantage of ActiveCampaign is its integrations. Offering almost 1,000 integrations and apps that give you flexibility when your stack is more complex. But, it might be overwhelming - in Elastic Email Creator Suite, you can find all essential integrations your brand needs.

5. Flodesk

  • Strong design and aesthetics
  • Flat-rate pricing for unlimited subscribers (until November 28, 2025)
  • Intuitive user interface

The last Kit alternative is Flodesk, which stands out with its beautiful, aesthetically pleasing templates and its intuitive, design-first builder. Flodesk also offers simple, flat-rate pricing for unlimited subscribers and emails, at least until November 28, 2025. Later on, it will introduce tiered pricing based on the size of the email list for new customers. For now, users can scale their list without worrying about their monthly bill increasing. But, unlike Elastic Email Creator Suite, Flodesk doesn’t offer contact list management. Contacts added are visible as “All subscribers” or segmented according to your needs. But, this platform is also exceptionally easy to use, with a minimalist and elegant interface that makes it a joy to work with. It removes the complexity often found in email marketing, allowing creators to focus on their content and design.

5 best Kit alternatives - wrapping up

As you can see, there are a lot of great options when you’re looking for a Kit alternative. Its price increase may be your motivation for a change to something better and more useful. Regardless of what you are looking for in an email marketing platform, we hope that this ranking has given you an idea of the options available and will help you make the right decision for you and your brand.
